Well shoot...looks like Kleeyo just became the next Sarah Conner.

This should hopefully be the last text-heavy comic. Although it may allow Imordiros to fall into the classic villain know the one where they spend time gloating and explaining their master plan to the hero, where they would have won if they had just killed the hero outright?

So, it all goes back to Imodiros... Though, had Saradenko been what she was meant to be, how would she have met Taelia?
One more question: what are Sara and Kleeyo's profession? From the previous comics, I guess Kleeyo is a jewellcrafter, but what about your other characters?
Clef 22nd Oct 2012, 6:58 PM edit delete reply
Sara is a blacksmith/engineer while Kleeyo is a herb/alchemist. For story-telling purposes I tend to change that around a bit.

I don't know yet...

Sargearas is dead, his will was supposedly uterly destroyed by Khadgar and Lothar... you know when Khadgar pierced Medivhs chest, and Lothar cut of his head.

Besides it should be impossible for Sargearas to enter the world right now... with Well of eternity gone, it would take all magic of the world to create portal capable of alowing more than mere avatar... and that was slashed away by Magna Aegwyn easily.
Clef 21st Oct 2012, 6:56 AM edit delete reply
You mean "dead" like Deathwing was? Or like Cenarius was? You know how Warcraft lore goes...he could come back saying "I wasn't REALLY destroyed, just badly beaten, banished to the twisting nether where a tiny bit of my essence escaped and I regrew an even more powerful body. Now I'll get revenge on you all!"

I'll bet you cold hard cash that Sargaras will make an appearance in WoW before all is said and done.

I heard a rumor that Blizz will keep releasing expansions until players reach level 100 (their popularity hasn't gone down much, which is why I think they are prolonging things by making level caps in increments of 5 rather than 10 now). I'm thinking he'll be the level 100 final raid boss, since he is pretty much the source of all evil in the universe and his downfall would mark the end of everything bad. A fitting conclusion.

Oh Sargeras´es body survived... it´s presence on any planet is nothing short of enviromental catastrophy since only the emanating heat would burn most of the life in dozen mile radius.

You see he did not enter Azeroth with his body... It was in Northrend- Demons went for dragon hunt (and to collect Saronite to forge certain blade... their first attempt at some spear during war of the ancients did not meat with success - artefacts that were ment to conquer the world were supposed to be tight to the worlds power)... Aegwyn and 4 dragonflights descended on Legion who quickly tried to bolster the ranks... however Aegwyn opened a portal out of Azeroth´s sun in the middle of demon army, obliderating them... however it was changed into conduit and Sargeras, animating only smallest fraction of his power arrived. Dragons reatreated and Aegwyn destroyed the avatar in single attack.
Sargeras failing to stop her spell jumped his soul into her, corrupting Medivh before he was even born. (Aegwyn ressurected him without Sargeras decades later... where he wanders now, noone knows... but he is alive somewhere, hell he even had his Atiesh in W3 cinematics... staff that was at that time locked in Dalaran vaults...)

And no... he is not "the source of all "evil"" in the universe. The "evil" existed before him, it existed even in "time" where notions like "before" "after" and "time" did not... (Reign of Old Gods "before" time actualy existed) and it will always exist. Even if all annihilians (pit lords), Eredar, Nathrezim are wiped out... even if all gods are destroyed there is still the simple choice of simply beeing "bad".
How did late Archmage Rhonin say it:
Citiziens of Dalaran, raise your eyes to the skies and observe. Today our world's destruction has been averted in defiance of our very makers. Algalon the Observer has been defeated by our brave comrades in the depths of the titans city of Ulduar. Algalon was sent here to judge the fate of our world. He found a planet whose races had deviated from the titans' blueprints. A planet where not everything had gone according to plan. Cold logic deemed our world not worth saving. Cold logic however does not account for the power of free will! It's up to each of us to prove this is a world worth saving! That our lives... our lives are worth living!

Souls in Warcraft can be destroyed utterly. It is about the only way how to make sure they do not come back- As dragon aspects discussed it Deathwing was UNMADE by power of Demon soul... not meerely killed. And as far as everything goes Sageras´s soul was unmade in Kharazhan.
His body still exists... but it´s no longer inhabited by any form of will. I suppose it would be possible to animate it, but it would hardly be a Titan with full powers.

... I wonder if Koardneas is Saradenko. Their eyes match up, if not almost. The hair we've seen, slightly, of Koardneas matches, or nearly matches, Saradenko's... not to mention Koardness knew what was going on immediately. And if Sara was originally going to be a very power priest...

Hm. I wonder.
Spiritwolf15X 22nd Oct 2012, 3:38 PM edit delete reply
Not to mention the Koardneas is an anagram for Saradenko.

Great update Clef, the time line made my gut hurt from the laughter.

Some do think the magical water in Vale of Eternal Blossoms (and the Terrance of Endless Spring) in Pandaria are actually the remnants of the original Well of Eternity. It implied to have influenced the Jinyu's evolution from the murlocs.
Paeris Kiran 21st Oct 2012, 10:43 PM edit delete reply
Original Well of Eternity was where Maelstorm is now... Zin Ashari stood on western shore of it, now it resides in center of Maelstorm... Well supposedly consumed itself as it was torn between Sargeras´es attempt to come through, Old god´s attempt to break free and Mad Deathwing who somehow managed to get Demon soul which directed all this... add Illidan´s and Malfurion´s spell to suck Legion out of Azeroth and eventual collapse of the portal (done by Malfurion and Dragon soul)
It sucked half of the original Kalimdor continent... effectively whole middle nearly equaly to all sides. With 4 large pieces remaining... (Pandaria, recent Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms and Northrend)...
But some essence of Well survived... Illidan preserved 5 vials of original water of the Well... two were used to create the Well under Nordrasill, nowhere near original, plus bound by World tree... (remants of these two ended up with Vashj and Kaelthas)
DathRemar Sunstrider used third to create the Sunwell... where are the other two... probably only Malfurion and Jarod Shadowsong know...
Plus Illidan speculated that some Kaldorei magi (Aru Talis...) stole portions of it´s water before... It may very well be tight to the Well of eternity, but if so, most likely only indirectly.

Well, the point is, warcraft lore is about as flexible as a slinky made of wet noodles. To say "this or that can't happen" really means absolutely nothing, heh. Blizz has shown time and time again that they'll create whatever they need to fill gaps in the lore.

I mean look at the Pandaran. Chen Stormstout made some appearances in WC3, an obscure reference to his empty keg was made in one old Horde barrens quest, other then that, Blizz themselves didn't even recognize them as an actual warcraft race. Instead referenced them as like an April fools joke. In part because of they added them, the game would have been banned in China (one of their biggest sources of revenue) because its illegal to kill pandas over there- even virtual ones. The Chinese server hosts tank, all the their players move to Taiwan servers where there are no similar laws...what happens next? *BAM* an entire continent LITERALLY pops out of nowhere- It's Pandaria! An entire continent that was never mentioned in any of the previous lore. (unless you count Chen's WC3 war cry "For Pandaria!")

Like I said, the lore is immensely flexible, and therefore has no real integrity.

...and its harder to take any of it seriously when in the game its self everything is drowned in jokes and pop culture references...its impossible to tell what is actually canon IN THE GAME ITS SELF. Prime example: Harrison Jones. Is he an actual lore character now? If not, can in-game events even be considered canon? And if the game its self can't be considered canon, than what's the point?
Paeris Kiran 23rd Oct 2012, 9:36 PM edit delete reply
Oh almost anything can happen... well I actualy doubt they will be ressurecting Deathwing again...

but there are things that Metzen does keep track of... Destruction of Sargeras´es will however does come from him. Everything else that was Sargeras is pretty much intact... well his Avatar was blasted away, his body is intact... but will and conscience no longer exists.
Supposedly in any plane... and even if it should be "ressurected"... only Old Gods probably have power to do that... and well they do not have reason to.

Btw how about that cameo of your Skyrim character? I have just finaly superenchanted by Dragon armors weapons... Top alchemy/enchant/blacksmith gear possible :-D decided to make it battle-mage gear aimed for destruction... funny is I actualy cast destruction spells for free...
Clef 24th Oct 2012, 3:44 AM edit delete reply
And one good bit of news for destruction mages- looks like next expansion mounted spell casting will be available. (ANY reason not to get off the darn horse is nice, since they do everything they can to get in your way during a fight). Really hoping they come out with some better gear next DLC. Original game plus two expansions and I'm still wearing my same old daedric set...of course not like it matters, since legendary-quality daedric armor is like 2x the armor cap as it is.
Paeris Kiran 24th Oct 2012, 12:41 PM edit delete reply
Well legendary like heavy dragon armor should be a cap even without any perks if I calculate correctly:D
Drakkenfyre 24th Oct 2012, 2:59 AM edit delete reply
The whole "illegal to kill pandas in video games" thing is an urband legend, and nothing more. There are MMO's which have been out in China for years that have playable panda races.

When asked about Pandarens, Blizzard has described Pandaria before. It was hidden, and no outsiders had found it, just like it was in Mists of Pandaria. They haven't gone deep into the lore and described everything about Pandarens and where they came from, but it's more than a passing mention as a WarCraft 3 battlecry.

Like the comic, sad to see it go.
