YAY...who is up for some obscure 90's anime references? Anyone who has seen Those Who Hunt Elves will probably get the joke here.

Yeah yeah...I know...I'm running out of ideas that badly. Asides from that one week of free game time I cashed in to try out the account-wide achievements patch, I haven't had an active subscription in well over a year. Kind'a hard to make jokes about the current events in the game...unless you want some stale WotLK jokes, or making fun of class imbalances that are 3 years obsolete, heh...

Oh, if you haven't heard of the series just referenced, you can look it up here:

well in my opinion, a comic taking place in the WoW universe doesnt have to revolve around WoW in any "real" way, you have this bonkersly big universe, one big frame of reference from which you can make art ( something i'll properly never be able to do) or just pure/plain entertainment, i what ever way you fancy doing that:)
just thought i'd give you my point of view, since you're an amazing artist that should keep doing whatever awesome stuff he wants. i do realise i know next to nothing about creatin said art though:P

Freakin awesome! I loved that show when it first came out, dam I feel old now. Of all anime/WOW references I can't believe I never saw anyone do this yet or I missed it somewhere obscure. Albeit and ill admit seeing a bunch of belfs gets stripped down would be hella amusing I wonder how long till Sara protests that they aren't just blowing them up

Oh, I'm sure Sara would relish the opportunity to see them humiliated rather than just simply blown up.

Jonas is right about a wow comic doesn't strictly need to be about wow. Gratz is set in a wow universe but its not done from a perspective of a video game. also LFG is set in a wow universe but dose not follow the rules of the game. there are pros and cons about setting it in the game and setting it out of the game, it really just comes down to style.

ROFL! Outstanding drawing Clef! You've depicted Junpei and Airi so well, and I like the detail on the Type 74.

Where's Celcia? I know she lost her panda form curse at the end of series 2, but if she lapsed back into it she'd fit right in with MoP.

Carry on with all the WotLK jokes you like! Blizzard needs more artists reminding them that this was WoW's pinacle expansion and things didn't start going wrong until the one after it.

Hah! A friend of mine showed me a bit of "Those Who Hunt Elves". Hilarious, even if it's utterly insane. Clearly Sara's got the right idea, though I'm sure Kleeyo would like to point them towards Teldrassil next. ;)

I can just see it, the two arguing over the smoking ruins of Elvish Kingdoms on who was right, ending in a Lava Burst and a "I can't believe this is my mother/paladin mentor" Mini Kleeyo.

Does Kleeyo hate Nelfs like she hates Gnomes? (I was hoping Clef would comment here)
Rokas 10th Apr 2013, 11:21 AM edit delete reply
Well, it's not like those guys in the tank actually kill elves. They're just out to find some magical body tattoos that may have randomly appeared on various elves, so their "hunting" is mainly stripping elves naked in the street to see if they have part of the spell to send them home.

So more utter humiliation than mass slaughter. XD

Nah, Kleeyo doesn't have anything against Nelfs. Her urge to punt gnomes is purely instinctual/second nature, not hatred.

Sara, on the other hand, deeply hates Belfs with utmost passion (Horde Belfs and Kael'thas' followers specifically).

I want to add my sentiments to those who feel that you don't have to follow WoW's current storyline to have a good comic. You only need imagination and creativity. I believe you possess both in abundance.

I missed you!!!! -comes back to see more Sara and Kleeyo, over joyed an hugged everyone in the universe-

Well I doubt they will find the elves they're looking for...buuuut I'm sure the chaos they'll cause will set them free from their current situation and if ur horde good for you!
