Two days late and two dollars short. Next update should be on time. Had very little spare time this week.

Why is Tallia so afraid? Because those riders are based off the WC3 know, the ones who can attack while mounted? While typical adventurers are barred from mounted combat? Major disadvantage, heh.

I wonder if mounted combat will ever be introduced in-game? Obviously it would have to be disabled in BGs.

better late then never right.

what I'm perplexed by is why are the allys attacking thunderbluff? aside from it being a horde capital the tauren if I'm remembering right do very little to tick the allys off. (aside from being part of the horde.)

but the bigger question is why is shooting a young girl a point theres no sport in a unhonored kill!

It's a classed Tauren flying out of thunder bluff. What more reason do they need?

As a tauren, reasons why the allys might attack Thunder Bluff, & Tallia.

1. Tauren were involved in the attack against Theramore. Baine had no knowledge of the Mana-bomb and would have pitched a fit if he had; but, we were there.

2. The alliance attacked Camp Taurajo and massacred women, children, and the elderly at the behest of a commander who hated the horde.

3. Tallia is a healer. Healers Have To Die.

Still, attacking Thunder Bluff would be a dumb move. Very dumb. Attacking Tallia, considering the experience she must have had in Northrend with the Argent Crusade will probably prove to be a dumb move, at least once she gets past her initial panic.

As for mounted combat, I hate pvp; but, some type of Argent Crusade type of mounted combat for pvp might be fun for those who enjoy that kind of thing.

PS - Thanks Maryalee for the reply about the Argent Hippogryph. :)

Yeah, I've always wondered about Camp Taurajo (and I miss having it there too). The Alliance captain (or whatever he was) stationed nearby said that they allowed a break in their defenses for civilians to escape but when I went into the smouldering mess I found corpses of traders and profession trainers. Doesn't sound like the Alliance did a very good job of that break, and they didn't appear to have taken prisoners either. Unless Tauren have a code of honor against being captured and would rather commit suicide?

Re combat on flying mounts, what would the interface be like? Would it be easy to control flying movement and attacking at the same time? The glaive throwers at Gilneas weren't too bad, but I don't know what it would be like to be controlling pitch and heading at the same time as shooting.

Both of you are right. The alliance commander who was in charge of the barrens campaign greatly respected the hordes and hoped to make peace with them. . He purposefully left a gap in his lines to allow the taurajo civilians to escape before attacking the town. However deserters broke off who merely wanted to loot the place returned and massacred the survivors. The alliance general was going to be the next bolvar- an honorable figurehead who could bring the two sides together. Deathwing saw him as a threat and The twilight hammer assassinated him to ensure the war kept going.

I haven't played the horde side of those quests, so I don't know how they vary.

Interestingly enough, for the horde side, the Horde Warlord Commander believes that the alliance commander was responsible for the assault and massacre on Taurajo and thus sends the player and an assassin to kill the Alliance commander as he's en-rout to Fort Triumph. So in a way, in the horde version, you actually kill the commander.

Btw, Excellent job on finishing the comic (It was really good) And glad to see that you started/continued a new one afterwards! Keep up the good work!
*Also, Alliance FTW!!!

Geez. So much for in-game lore integrity. By then again, those who seem to skewer the lore the most are the ones who WRITE it.

Tauren or not, would not the alliance have a little more sense than to outright shoot down a flyer on an argent hiporgryph, wearing the colours of the argent crusade, even if she were helping the horde, i would give her a chance to land and surrender, unless she openly attacked.
Maryalee 16th Aug 2013, 3:54 AM edit delete reply
They wear Stormwind colors, but who they are taking their orders from exactly is in question at the moment.

I really like the panic face in the last panel.

The flyer saying "Remember Arathi" is gnome. I wonder if there is a connection to the previous series.
Maryalee 21st Aug 2013, 10:52 PM edit delete reply
I believe both are gnome. I think I can make out goggles on both of them. If you can't punt 'em, shoot 'em I guess....
