Geez, everyone is getting the drop on Tallia today.

Was able to finish a comic this week because this one was short and simple enough.

Ever had that situation where a spell you never use and don't keep on your hotbar was suddenly needed?

As a (former) paladin player, that spell was turn undead. A fear spell that only effected one class of enemy in PvE and couldn't be used in PvP. Like most situations in PvE, fear spells were only death wishes, since they so commonly caused the affected enemy to make a b-line straight to the nearest group of nearby mobs to aggro onto you. One time during the Moroes fight in KZ a priest shackle on one of the adds broke and the raid leader quickly ordered me to fear it to keep it off the healer. I had a bit of spell book digging to do, heh. And that was in BC when spells still had ranks, so there was a LOT of pages to flip. That was the only time I ever touched that spell for any practical reason (and even then it STILL caused the mob to run out the door and reset the fight.)

Gosh I'm a day late, makes me feel bad.

Thats a long slow fall. the only thing dangers about it is dieing from old age! (or getting ran over by a green bird)

this reminds me of a story. druids can shape shift in mid air. so when my noob friend was playing I go falling past him well he was flying and shape shift. my friend goes "oh cool you can mount in mid air!" him being a noob (DK class) diss mounts and falls 200 yards to his death!

the best part was he was down stairs so he got to hear me bust up laughing.

and thats it for a ramble.

(iv noticed a lot of cows posting here...)

LMTAO!! (T = Tauren)

Hold on... don't you need to be about level 56 on a server to create a DK? How could he have played for that long and be a noob about druids?
Clef 18th Sep 2013, 10:24 PM edit delete reply
Clef
I thought they removed that requirement.

Could well be so - I haven't played in over two years, though I'm looking seriously at IronWoW.
Maryalee 19th Sep 2013, 12:58 PM edit delete reply

They removed the requirement limiting you to "creating" one DK per server. You were always able to create one on a different server and transfer it to one with an existing DK, people used to do it all the time. Now you can create multiple on the same realm. Still considered a "Hero" class and you have to have at least one character level 55 before you can create that first one.

well he leveled a shammy to 56 then swapped for a DK. you get flying at level 60 so he had never flown before up to that point.

My Tauren huntress wants a word with you:

"Cows? COWS?!" *Takes out long rifle* "DO I LOOK LIKE A COW TO YOU?"

...Dude, you'd better run.

"Cow" is a slur in human society due to its misuse as a pejorative toward human females.

Azeroth is not human society.

If tauren males refer to each other as "bulls", what other term than "cow" would be used for tauren females? Blizzard has to officially shy away from it due to concern #1 above. I have no problem whatsoever referring to myself as a cow in-game. Kelly Aarons, player of Cadistra, when asked about the term stated that it depends on context. If someone uses it as a slur, it's offensive. If they are using it in the RP sense, or as an affectionate moniker I don't see the offense.

well when I say cow I mean just a four legged animal with horns of any size and hoofs... so no deeper meaning intended. by the way WoW eh, one of the best comics ever! my very first Wow comic I got into reading and drawing wow comics my self so high five there!

I think I'm going go hide now... the air is think with animosity.

Rokas 20th Sep 2013, 4:28 AM edit delete reply
I would speculate that "bull" and "cow" are merely the Common(English) translations of Taurahe words for male and female tauren; they actually probably wouldn't use the same words with the same meaning, I would think.

Hence why I make the jest that my huntress would get ticked off at being called a "cow" as she understands Common far too well.

"Don't make excuses for them; it just distracts me while I tune my scope."
-I thought you liked humans?
"I do, just not when I'm compared to a farm animal. Hell, I'm a tauren, I -eat- the tasty flesh of mammals. Yes, even a double cheeseburger."
-That's not cannibalism?
"Is it cannibalism if you ate a monkey?"
-No, but it'd still be creepy.
"Well, I'm further from cattle than you are from a monkey, or ape, or mutated frost giants, whatever it is humans actually come from on Azeroth."

Yeah lots of us taurens responding to this thread. Could it be because Kleeyo and Talia are the remaining regulars of the original character cast? What did happen to Raul BTW? Surely they'd allow him on the bluff, he was of Tauren blood after all.

I can answer that but as this is Cleff's comic I would rather not answer Gratz questions as to avoid drawing anymore attention away from his fine work then I already have with my shenanigans.

And I am late commenting again. I love the touches you're putting in like the actual quest "Log" book, and the "Spellbook" here. Tallia should have locked her action bar there in panel 3. Beautiful work as always, and Tallia is looking more beautiful all the time.

Why would a priest not have levitate on their hotbar? Very useful if ever dismounting mid air, or jumping from a great height.
My Gnome Priest likes to have it active as much as possible, though that's mainly so she doesn't get a cramp in her neck looking up all the time.

Tallia's view is that she has hooves. Hooves are meant to be on the ground.
