I know there isn't much official lore regarding Gnolls, but for the sake of this story, this is how it all works;

Gnoll tribes are sort of like hives- one female (the Queen) gives birth to all the litters. Only the male pups are permitted to reach adulthood, where they become hunters, workers, ect. This goes on until the queen grows old and is ready to breed a successor. Once the successor is of breeding age, the old queen is killed and the new one takes over. The males keep the queen well hidden and well protected, hence why they are never seen. If an adult female IS seen, it is safe to assume they are a queen. This will all be explained in-story more later, but this will all play out heavily in terms of Birdy's attitude and relationship with Tallia.

And yeah, that is a Kobald skull staff, complete with candle.

Oh glorious moment! *FINALLY* a female gnoll is seen! :D She's quite the cutie too.

Nice one Clef, and very interesting back story. I would never have guessed there was a gnoll waiting to pop out of the box.

I suspected that it was a gnoll because of all the barking and snarling... But I never figured it would be female, because you don't see them in-game. Or a queen for that matter

Interesting. I'm already hyped for the next comic.

She has beautiful eyes.

Okay, so it wasn't a Gnome Worgen. Good thing I didn't put any money down on it.

So my guess of it being Hogger wasn't too far off, eh?

Ahh, a Gnoll indeed. Curious choice, given the Gnolls' propensity for making Garrosh look civilized in comparison, but I guess it lets you get away with drawing another cute fuzzy lady. ;)

And Allistair, don't you diss the Argent Crusader, those mofos are awesome. (When I was playing WoW even after the end of WotLK expansion I kept my Argent Crusade stuff and bling because dayum, man, there was nothing more epic than that.)

Yup, your guess was the closest.

And don't worry, you'll see the mean streak come out soon.

And yeah...while I was doing the character designs, I hadn't realized I had just turned S&K into a furry comic...

Nothing wrong with that, heh :)

Well, to be fair WoW has a lot of 'furry' races. so that's sort of unavoidable.

omg the third panel... D´awwwwwwww :3
Also, lol´d at the "Argent Crusade? ...retro" :D

/agree Rokas. Argent Crusade was my favorite faction in WotLK. I played Cata before quitting WoW, and almost all the time I had my draenei shaman wearing Crusade tabard, "Argent Champion" title and I transmogrified armor and weapon to match tabard and skin color the way I saw fit - Cyclone T4 set (except for legs, I chose Rip-Flayer Leggings instead of T4 skirt). Sometimes I would even summon my Argent Squire before boss fights, to share cleave damage :D

Very nice shading & toning, and the eyes are gorgeous looking.

The feathers and dress color are no foreshadowing at all, right?

Or the name. Not one bit.
