I'm hoping this isn't actual WoW lore, or I'll be liking gnolls a lot less and I've liked them from the moment I saw the first one during the Warcraft 3 tutorial. I was disappointed at being required to make Thrall kill him.
Question: Talia's ability to understand Birdy's wordless dialogue reminds me of the way Han Solo could perfectly understand Chewbacca the Wookie. Is this a similar situation?
I just thought of a 2nd question: What character level is Talia?
I was curious about this as well, but Tallia is not WoW-canon so I don't think there's any way to really pin that down. The few spells we have seen her cast in the comic don't suggest the very highest level of a WoW Priestess though. We saw her use [Levitate] at the beginning of the Greenbird story which is only a level 34 Holy spell. However, her infamous "Shadow Puppies" is most closely related to the Shadow Priest [Shadowfiend], which is a level 42 Shadow spell, and she used that at the age of around 8-10 years old in the old comics. We do know from the beginning of Greenbird that she doesn't have much experience, outside what she may have garnered with the Argent Crusade.
And that last panel makes gnolls sound a lot like some backward earth societies. Looking at you, countries that don't value girls.
Love Tallia's expression in 3rd to last panel. You captured her concern so well there Clef.
I love how she explains everything!

Tallia is not level capped.
