This is the first of a small series depicting some of the Hyjal daily quests. The first time I did this quest I thought it was hilarious how they animated the bears being flung through the air. They'd cry out "Mwuuuuuuuuuuu" as they flipped head over heels down toward the trampoline. Of course the little devil sitting on my shoulder convinced me to see what happens when you miss. So I aimed, launched, and proceeded to nearly fall out of my chair laughing as I heard a loud "TWHAP!" and the poor cub disappear behind a cloud of dust that radiated out from the impact point. People may think I'm sadistic, but that's ALL blizzard design right there :)

Exit question: Was there anything in WoW that made you laugh? I mean REALLY laugh? (not just the usual chuckle from killing a player who failed to gank you)

lol, this is great as always Clef, great job on Kleeyo with Both eyes showing. Tallia looking cute as always. love Kleeyos expression when she's hit by the bear.
Cant recall off hand what has really made me laugh, I knows there's several. I know theres a questline in badlands, the one with the 3 guys telling tall tales, I know I found the end of the orcs tale highly amusing, "it was then i realise my bike could fly" and how he goes to figh DW, deathwing gets hit in the face by the dwarf, and then, in the distance U see a gigantic gnome walking by, I loved those quests.

one that that had me rolling for a while was the names for the Hodir dailies...

Blowing Hodir's Horn
Polishing the Helm
Thrusting Hodir's Spear

Doing the achievement, "And the Meek Shall Inherit Kalimdor"- if you didn't do it, it requires you to hit something with a bear cub and something else with a punted turtle. Also, any dialogue from Mylune.

You have to hit the sleeping Brimstone Hounds with the bear cubs, who then promptly kill said hounds

I'd say during the depicted daily when I wondered what'd happen if I tried feeding a cub to a brimstone hound. To my surprise, the cub mauled the much bigger corehound to death. Ever since I discovered that, I've killed a brimstone hound every time I did that daily.

Funniest part for me, was when i was doing the therazene chain quests. And when the earthen ring teams up with queen therazene to kill the Twilight cultists; there is a part where your're sent to kill their leaders and one of them says "I'm going to have my way with your earthmother"! i almost pissed my pants laughing. lol

Oh geeze, let me think.

I'd have to say a lot of the Goblin-related stuff makes me laugh. I know they're supposed to be like Star Trek's Ferengi and are based on the old, horrible Jewish stereotype in new clothing and stuff (care more about money than people or life, giant noses and ears, curiously similar accents. Does this ring an uncomfortable bell anyone?) But they just come off to me as being lovable mad scientist and rogue types that most of them at least have a heart of gold hidden underneath, though there are a few genuine b*st*rds like Gallywix. Also, they LOVE explosives to a degree that matches my own perverse infatuation with things that go BOOM. The starting quest line/area for new Goblin characters is nothing but pure hilarity from the get-go. But then again, my good friend often calls me a "sad, strange little man" so take what I say with a bit of salt.

But by far, the funniest part I think is when you, as a Horde player, are waiting for the Zeppelin to arrive in Azshara to take you to the Twilight Highlands arrival quest. The pre-flight scripted bit with two of the Goblin NPCs from their starting area... I forget, but basically a scientist and his assistant. The spiel they go through is a mix of satirical flight instruction and Disney-esque pre-ride "shows" that keep the guests from being bored while standing in the line. It was non-stop laughing for me. An example:
"Hobart Grapplehammer: We've mitigated the explosive instability of the gas by putting it under IMMENSE pressure.
Hobart Grapplehammer: Doing so required the removal of a number of safety valves that kept erupting.
Assistant Greely: Ask yourself: what good is a "safety" valve if it keeps going off? That doesn't sound very safe to me."

The whole text you can read on Wowhead thanks to a diligent commenter.

As for your comic today sir, it is great as always. Once again we see Sara and Kleeyo's sociopathic nature peeking through, and having Tallia poke her head in to be cute is always a bonus. Especially wonderful is how Kleeyo tries to be good but degenerates immediately with Sara's provocation, and the look on her face is priceless. Good work, man.

aside from the Indiena Jones jokes (which i love that quest line in uldam no debts)the quest in searing gorge with a 4 dwarf Congo line up! that is really funny if you haven't seen it yet its the number one of a long line of laughs.

course there is the pvp lolz but my favorites is in dungeons where me (being tank) will take a moment to shout some thing out at the boss. the best one was on croc boss doing a Steve Awen (name miss spelled) impression right before boss. (yes i do laugh at my own jokes i play wow what you expect?)

by they way i like Kleeyo with both eyes looks good on her.

more praise to the comic master!

The questline on the border of Silverpine to Hillsbrad starting with Welcome to the Machine.
Best.
Quest.
Ever.

oh, there's no doubt been a bunch of them over the years... but the one that gets me every single time is a later Mylune quest where you rescue the baby turles and punt them into the water... "I hope you gently and lovingly kicked them as hard as you possible could!" left me wiping soda off my monitor.

There is a quest chain in Un'goro crater with some guy called Maximilian of Northshire. It's a parody of Don Quijote where he makes you his squire and has you follow him to receive blessings from "spirits" (vapour npcs that attack you) and then kill a dragon (a big devilsaur). It's absolutely hilarious, especially when he tries to save a damsel in distress who is actually a male blood elf!

Storm peaks had a lot of lulz-y quests, one of which was the "Jurmuttar is soo fat..." (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=13011) I kept it in my quest log so that I could link it in trade once in a while. :P

Kaiser 26th Sep 2011, 11:01 PM edit delete reply
Hmmm funniest quest...
Well besides the whole rescue the bears and turtles in Hyjal xD.
Without a doubt the one in Uldum where you start running over gnomes Katamari style :D.
That one quest in Grizzly Hills where you eat the seeds and are forced to...uh..."speed up nature's process" was bloody hilarious once you realized that the incident has happened multiple times before...think about it =P

I've heard quite a bit about that Silverpine quest. I guess I should dust off Kleeyo and go give it a try.
