As a (wannabe) comic artist, there are a number of topics one is expected to cover in a WoW comic, among the usual topics is gnome bashing/punting, poking fun at your own class and faction, poking fun at the opposing faction, a fan service comic and so on. However as a Paladin player, it is my additional obligation to throw at least one jab at the sinister crab man, Greg Street himself. We Paladin players will not likely forget his memorable saying that once again stuck us with ridicule like the chewed bubble gum on the bottom of our shoe that we stepped in on the way to work.

As a career holy/prot paladin, I was lucky to avoid most of the Paladin facerolling nerfs that plagued the latter days of Burning Crusade. The last major one was 3.2 in Wotlk, which pretty much burned away our remainging competitive edge against the other healing classes, particularly those darn resto shamans and their jesus-beams. That nerf was what initially convinced me to respec prot, which was at the time probably the least-nerfed spec in the game. Best decision I made.

Exit question: Respeccing is normal and common after a significant nerf. However, would a significant enough nerf cause you to reroll a different class altogether? Or even quit the game? Or would you just roll with the punches regardless of how gimp you felt your class was afterward?

Great page :) I love how you handled this issue, and I love the expression you gave her in the last panel XD Can't wait for the next page :)

So when are we going to see comics which make fun of the other races like you did with the Gnomes? :)

I love your comic, but I would hate it if you two were biased and going with a hype :)

I posted some suggestions, but how about the cowgirl getting accidently killed and then is being made into a tent and supper for the human girl here without her knowing about it? ^_^

Either way, happy new year!!!! :D

If I were a dedicated PvP player, I would have either ditched my hunter for another class or canceled my subscription by now. The new focus system that was implemented does not lend itself to hunter PvP, if you ask me. Aspect of the Fox may make firing Steady or Cobra Shots on the move possible, but that doesn't mean it's practical. Trying to keep LoS for a solid second and a half while unable to use any ability except Disengage, on a target you are being chased by and who doesn't want to be in your LoS, is very frustrating.

Well, I had a post, but this thing ate it. So lemme say this: Great comic, and poor, poor Sara. ;p

As for nerfing, I don't think I'd quit just 'cuz of a nerf, though I certainly would consider playing other classes more often. However, I won't abandon my favorites, no matter how they've been nerfed. Because the sign of a good player is taking even a nerfed class and doing something cool with it despite the nerfing. ;)

As a career elemental shaman, I've almost always looked forward to buffs when scaling took other classes way ahead, and secretly snickered when other classes got the bat =D

I actually abandoned my prot paladin when WoTLK came out, but not because of a nerf, but rather a complete change... it didn't feel like I was playing my character anymore, it felt like it had become a warrior wannabe, using shield bash and weapon strikes, relying on rotation to do threat instead of gear and so on. So yeah, this is my answer - I abandoned the char and left it to rot, playing only my warlock main from then on (and made another alt for fun, since there wasn't all that much left to do at 80 for me back then).

Dont really know what I would do. I play a hunter so meh its a pure damage class. They would have to do a lot to nerf the whole thing into oblivion. But yeah, paladins use to be the laughing stock of WoW, and if you were Ret, god forbid you got into a group. I still laugh when people cry on how "Pallys are overpowered" True a few of their skills hurt, but at least they are back on equal footing with other classes. Especially tanks. But I dont think I'd quit if they completely nerfed the hunter class. I'm leveling a shaman and he is total fun! Love your comic by the way! :D

i do shift characters when nerfs happen if their bad, but I will also stick with whatever I am enjoying right now. My Paladin is a Ret/holy and the knockdowns make it rough to heal but I keep trying.

But heck I leveled a vanilla holy priest and a vanilla ret paladin. Compared to that nothing they can take away can make it seem harder than that.

@Leo I've seen too many Prot paladins in Cata who simply cannot die being hit by FOUR people, while they still can dish enough damage to take them down. OK, that was simply an OP geared Pally, but seeing the guy tanking a boss in the Throne of Four Winds, while healing himself with Word of Glory for the entire fight made me feel.. sorry for us healers

As a Prot/Holy pally myself, I do agree with you entirely.

However, your question concerning changing classes/specs do to nerfs... my fiance plays a Resto/Boomkin druid and there have been many times (including right now) that she has considered dropping her Resto druid and rolling a priest. As bad as Holy pallies are, former tree form druids seem to be the low end of the totem pole as far as healing goes...

Don't know myself. I play a feral druid in my off time...

I love how you make the two characters friendly to each other even though they are still somewhat loyal to their factions. I especially enjoy how much they can torment each other :P I keep thinking that Sara is the bratty lesser to Kleeyo who is about one smart ass comment from getting spanked lol. But Kleeyo probably secretly enjoys the annoying paladin to much to kill her :P

reroll? nahhhhhh i'm an alt-aholic nerf my druid will ya OK suck on this i have a hunter no good? well lemme just break out the shaman or worse yet my last resort the warrior :P and if all else fails i guess ill just roll a rogue. Ha, that was funny as if anyone would roll a rogue on purpose had ta get a laugh before i left :D

Nerfs? That's what alts are for.

That pic was perfect, was like the entire world was against us ret pallies at the time. Thankfully in 4.0.6 ret will be able to switch targets.

I was ret back in 2.3, before 3.0 dropped and so many noobs defiled my spec.

Me, i'd roll with the punches. Ain't NUTHIN' gonna make me give up WoW. Not even an intervention. *tries to log in. "Prepaid game time has expired" NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Psh. If my priest ever gets nerfed I always have my shammy on back up heals. My druid's always on standby as well! In the extreme cases I guess I could bring my warlock back from the rotting pit, or my DK.
Quite WoW, though? Never.

Writers gotta always have their characters viewed as sexual objects, pretty insecure.

i mean look at the last frame lol.
