I watched a video the other day of the Deathwing fight, and I definitely have to say it is the most impressive looking boss fight to date, in my opinion. Blizz really outdone themselves on it (although it doesn't seem like you actually fight Deathwing, just a bunch of fire elementals that spawn from his blood).

To celebrate the release of 4.3, Blizz once again granted a free week of game time to inactive accounts. I still have the game installed, so once the holidays come I might as well cash that in and check out the new content. A week should be plenty of time to clear the 5-mans. maybe can try Dragon Soul if I meet the item level requirement. Has anyone cleared the new 5-mans or Dragon's Soul? Is it true that pugs have cleared the LFR version before actual raiding guilds could clear the regular version? Has anyone here tried out LFR?

killed Deathwing and all his cronies in LFR, got "stood in the fire" from the first time I battled Deathwing's immunity system. ripping the plates from his back is one thing, killing him in the maelstrom is another can of worms. I killed him, too bad I didnt get a souvenir from the encounter besides a silyl set of achievements... here's hoping I can get something anyways after it's all said and done.

Having beaten both deathwing encounters the first one (on his back) was in my honest opinion much better, although a bucket of excrement is better the Madness of Deathwing. It's very straightforward in what's to be nuked, healed and tanked, but at the very least it's done in three plates.

Madness on the other hand only nailed a single aspect; the scale of the fight. Deathwing and everything about him is enormous and this fight won't let you forget.
Sadly the fight itself is a single phase repeated four times with only tiny changes each attempt. Whilst I cannot speak for LFR mode, the normal encounter had me asleep after only a few attempts. Because each arm has a big pool of health, it takes an age and a half to beat all four down, after which the head phase still has to begin. We used a riskier strategy with just a single tank and two healers to maximize our dps and it still took close to 12 minutes.

The greatest challenge in defeating Deathwing himself is staying awake long enough without being bored to sleep.

Hehe, love the first panel with the gnome eating popcorn, watching. Poor Kleeyo, this must be a lot of people's worst nightmare, nude on a stage in from of a heap of people, keep up the good work.

Done the three HoT HC's and they are friggin amazing.
I dont know if its the lore or the fact that they are kinda hard to screw up but yet posing a decent challenge but its got me hooked on PUGs agein.
LFR...Seems to be working just fine, us casuals can finaly see some of the good stuff.
Downside with LFR is obviusly that you have no idea what you will end up with and you could end up with 24 people who all are clueless but also convinced that you do everything wrong.

Did her thong break off when she was hit by Sara? If it did then after the play Sara is going to get the mother-of-all lava bursts! :o

Kleeyo's elemental, so she wouldn't be able to heal scorched orphans. Unless someone is going to protect them all by encasing the entire front row in freezing traps...

I had to look back to see WHAT had fallen off (thought it was the top at first). After closer inspection of panel 3 you can see the side of her thong snap. She totally outdid Janet Jackson on this one lol. And those kids, if they didn't need a shrink before, they will now. No offense to any and all gnomes by the use of the work shrink btw o_0

Ooohhh... Poor, poor Kleeyo. :( I feel so bad for her.

I wonder if this is enough to get her and Sara thrown out of the Argent Crusade? If so I'm sure there are other groups of non-aligned forces willing to add to their growing roster of psychos for hire. I know the silly group I came up with for my characters certainly would. ;p

Tbh LFR is a joke... It's the raid on noobmode, meaning: everthing has less hp, everything hits for less and most raidwiping mechanics are taken out or downgraded... On my realm the first normal Deathwing kill popped up on the first patch day! Seriously, if you haven't played in a long time, you'll have to farm the 5-mans for a bit to get the item level for LFR. If you do have decent gear then you can literally clear the entire content in a day now... I have no idea what people will do for the next 5 months of this expansion...

I really feel bad for Kleeyo, here. xD

Well i did the LFR to the end, zero wipe from beginning to end.

Hell you probably won't believe me, but we managed to defeat the Madness of Deathwing with 21 person (missing one TANK and 3 dps).

And i do agree, the fight IS epic.

And the 3 5mans doesn't take ages to run, merely 20-25 mins with an Okay group.

The dwarf was just a filler character. Can't say there will be many more scenes with her.
