Well, this is the last installment for this story arc. I will be doing about a month or so of fillers before I start the concluding storyline.

I know it looks odd, but the two hordies aren't shrunken. They are supposed to be standing in the background.

Hah I would be doing the same thing with it. They look fine in the background. Their relation to the building place them in the distance.

First: Thanks for such a wonderful storyline, Clef. 'twas really exciting to follow and made my week when updated.

Second. Lemme see what I've to say about this.

In my humble opinion you made significant progress in the design of the characters drawn. Even if your "original" style had it's own charm, the - was it photoshop? - new one's got it's professional sharp look without altering the artwork.

There are not many questions left, everything's been answered good. The story was very elaborate but not too long including many remindable gags. The "backpack-raid", Tirion losing his manners with our chaotic troop, the Kharazan and Yogg-Saron reference, the children-stampede and the short but very touching love-story between the undead girl and the troll guardian for example.

All the characters had their balanced part of the story - this time even with Jyosette and (always forget her name) the Death Knight. I do not know if it was intended but Ulric was one perfect villain. Cruel, ruthless but still human, well, in that case gnomish. Could be on par with Dr. Evil, heh. Even keeps on being manipulative after his "defeat".

After all I really enjoyed the whole story as there was no "boring" or gassy content (has never been here) and, as a reader and fan, do look really forward to the next story.

Keep up the good work, mate!

Thanks for the review and the kind words!

The only real change that's been made is that shading and inking is now done digitally rather then with a pencil and ballpoint pen. Both methods used Photoshop for coloring. Really want to learn how to do backgrounds next, but the main obstacle there is time. Just drawing and coloring the characters alone takes so much time out of the week -_-

Yes, your drawing style just keeps getting better and better. In particular I really like the detail in the eyes of your characters' eyes (and I would have noticed that even without Talia switching hers) LOL. Ulric's anguish in panel 4 is awesome as well.

Don't you think Kleeyo is a bit harsh on her daughter? A stern verbal warning ought to be enough.

Azeroth is a very dangerous world. Its easy for one insignificant-looking little item to possess or corrupt someone who then gains unimaginable power and wipes out an entire kingdom...or worse. Nothing gets the point across better then a little corporal punishment. You never might not just end up saving a child, but the entire WORLD.

I wish she'd been Arthas' nanny!

(I wonder if Tauren are hired as wet nurses - ample supply of milk)

Okay, i got to ask: What's with the deathwing jaw and the whole eyes changing color? I thought that had just been a dream in the last arc?
Clef 31st Mar 2012, 9:40 PM edit delete reply
The eye glowing is a reference to comic #56. Sara dropped the mask in #59 and now it just resurfaced.

Wow I love this comic! It just keeps getting better! And this is only the second update i've been here for. Pity we are going to have to wait a month for the next part of the story. Keep on drawing!

I must know...what kind of stats are on deathwing's facemask? Isn't it also considered plate >.>?

Anyway excellent finish as always!

I pity the gnome though...losing a title, a tragedy to all achievement whores everywhere T_T

HAHAHAHA Great Work Clef, absolutly excellent, this webcomic is definatly in my top 5. Love the gnome's reaction to being punted, hope we see him again down the line, he may no longer be unpuntable, but he could get a job as a paparatzi :P

Although I do not really approve of gnome bashing, this guy did deserve being punted, and he didnt seem to mind much :P

Alo, love Sara lying facedown in panel 6, and how Kleey seems to have fogotten her.

Keep up the ggood work :D

I loved this arc. Found it to be hilarious...

However... For some reason, "The Puntable" is missing his left shoe in this page when he clearly put the rocket boot on his right foot. Other then that, excellent page as always.

"Consistency...? THIS...IS... S&K!!!!"

*kicks consistency down the deep hole*
Tehdruid 6th Apr 2012, 9:18 PM edit delete reply
Actually, his boot was taken off by Kleeyo so he could be punted :)

Scroll down really fast for animation lol. And Woo the Banhand returns.

I came up with a new title for the gnome when he comes back for his revenge, (since he seemed to enjoy being punted),: The Flying Gnome.
Halbor 2nd Apr 2012, 1:21 AM edit delete reply
Ulric should market a new ride for the darkmoon fair, instead of getting shot out of the cannon and trying to hit the target, gnomes (and probably goblins too) can get punted to the target. He could make millions!!!
George 4th Apr 2012, 1:56 PM edit delete reply
That should be a Monk ranged ability. Find the nearest gnome or goblin melee DPS, kick them at the target, and watch the hilarity unfold.

a month of fillers before a concluding storyline?
oh, i get it, you posted this one day before april's fool. Hoho. Good one, you almost made me think you would end the comic permanently in a few months or so. Hahahaha, good one, really!

jajaja Thalia is just lovely!, if I ever have a daughter I really hope is like her.. not furry of course xD, great comic Clef!
Bloodraptor(Echo Isles) 4th Apr 2012, 5:25 AM edit delete reply
I like the conclusion. I would prefer the gnome get his head split open, but still, it's a good ending, just means you can punt him all over again in later arcs. ^_^

Thalia is so cute, and using the jaw of Deathwing, that's so cute! ^_^ from holy cute, to evil cute, and back to holy cute. XD she's so adorable! if you made a plushie of her it'd sell like crazy! even if it were a 3'0" plush! I'd try to buy one! XD

she is just do adorable! ^_^
The silly zealot 4th Apr 2012, 10:17 PM edit delete reply
A plushie sounds like a good idea.
Clef 4th Apr 2012, 10:23 PM edit delete reply
The last time someone tried something like that they faced a hefty lawsuit from Blizz, heh.

"You are not allowed to make money off our stuff" is described in great detail in their EULA -_-;
Bloodraptor(Echo Isles) 6th Apr 2012, 5:19 AM edit delete reply
Well you could say that a portion is going directly into Blizzard(the part that pays the subscription to be blunt), Blizzard is still technically making money on something you may sell, and to be honest, it'd be a great piece of merchendise.

still, that little calf is so adorable! ^_^ even with swapping the jaw of Deathwing on and off like that so cute. ^_^
sacridshadow 6th Apr 2012, 7:09 AM edit delete reply
You say the two aren't supposed to look shrunken, well, they LOOK like they're in the background. Don't see how you'd even think we'd assume that.
Lycanthriope 6th Apr 2012, 8:48 PM edit delete reply
"Concluding storyline?"

I would be sad to see this comic end. I understand if you are no longer playing the game and do not feel motivation from it. But I have really enjoyed seeing the evolution of the relationship between these two unlikely friends and wish it could continue. Mayhap they could end up mobilized to Pandaria when all snap breaks loose there? Just speaking as a fan, and I know you will do what is best for the story.

If I have not been clear: I love this work.
Clef 7th Apr 2012, 5:22 AM edit delete reply
Thanks for you support!

Pandaria would be hard to do. My map viewer only covers up to WotLK patch 3.2. heh...
Tehdruid 6th Apr 2012, 9:19 PM edit delete reply
you said he would be punted into the sea and be eaten/chewed by one of the many killer whales.... >.>
Randomreader 6th Apr 2012, 10:18 PM edit delete reply
Did anyone notice Sara buried in the ground in panel 4? O_O
Randomreader 6th Apr 2012, 10:27 PM edit delete reply
I meant to say panel 6.
Clef 7th Apr 2012, 5:20 AM edit delete reply
That's actually water, just off the coast of Hrothgar's Landing.
Prea 12th Apr 2012, 10:17 PM edit delete reply
Well, depending on how blessed he is by his Loa, maybe we could chop off the Troll's arms and legs and have him regrow them later, and disassemble the Undead for easy packing.

Also, ew! Getting kissed by a rotten corpse? I'd be running for the shower and scrubbing myself clean for at least an hour!
