It's Chromiiiiiiiie :D. The one gnome that even gnome-haters love! (probably due to the fact she's not really a gnome).
As a few people pointed out yesterday, S&K finally got a comic onto the Blizz official site's comic section! Woot! Of course since then the commenters there proceeded to nitpick the living dogshit out of it...so...meh. Heh...
Next week's comic will wrap up the establishing of the setting/scenario and make way for the less text heavy stuff to come.

The dragons a girl? Me wonders if shes chromie from the future then.... would make sense to me.
And I keep forgetting how unloved gnomes were.... then again I was just more amused by having the boss angry at a tank a third the size of the guys beating him up.
Considering how long I've actually been reading this I don't know how I can justify it without it sounding stupid, even to myself. Anyways, looking forward to the rest of the story line.
When I first heard the infinite dragon was a girl, my first thought was it was possibly Chromie.
Anyway... Woo! Chromie, one of my favourite npc Dragons! Probably chooses a gnome to turn into cause she thinks the're cute. And glad to see Kleeyo has some boundaries to her gnome hate. Keep up awesome work XD
Thats because her name is an anormaly. Dragonnames follow a pattern where the ending determains the gender. Cromi's name has the male ending, while being female.
Its Chrondormu. She mentioned it once during a quest when she used to be in the inn at Andorhol. Since cata that quest was removed, so the name may be lost forever o_o
I like to think chromie (male) chose a gnome body to be less intimidating and didn't realize it was female until much later. Since he's a time traveling dragon he didn't want to change his avatar and add confusion to the timey wimey stuff so he just went with it. I like to think all his friends tease him when we're not around.
Seriously though, how likely is it that a dragon could tell gender differences in humanoids from a distance before he knew much about them? I have trouble telling with cats and I've had exposure to them since I was a kid.
You never know...Chromie may have had one of those ultra-feminist mothers who name their girls male names thinking that It'll prevent them from being discriminated against on job applications...
"Meet my daughter, Steve."
Maybe it worked this time around, because Chromie has one hell of a cushy job! Seeing the world in all its time periods, meeting just about every player, and spending all day arcane-blasting enemies as Sethira's Roost while shouting "You just got Chromie'd!"
1. Not anymore.
2. Something that can manipulate time can never be truly 'extinct' especially considering who their leaders are.
3. To find the gem at the 'when' when it was lost.
4. Hmm...evil Chromie?
I don't think that the infinite dragonflight is extinct.
"But Murozond was defeated at the 'End of Time'! Their leader is dead!". Yeah OK. The 'End of Time' happen AFTER Deathwing is victorious and destroyed by the corruption of the Old Gods and impaled at Wyrmrest. But wait! WE DEFEATED DEATHWING! You can even see his jaw fragment at the Maelstrom... So he never won, which means that 'End of Time' never happened (or never will), resulting in the inevitable fact that Murozond never died.
That's my logical opinion... Time twisting stories are cool, but you gotta be carefull while messing with it, so you don't leave a pit like this one openned.
This is WoW. You can't use normal logic. Following the pattern of WoW logic over the years, once a leader dies, everything below them falls apart. There's never a #2 that steps up to take their place.
But even if Deathwing's defeat prevents the actual End Time from occurring, Nozdormu said that it was inevitable that he would fall to madness.
You also have to remember that Murozond is a being out of time. That means that if time is changed, it does effect him, you mostly have to remember how we beat him. We rewind time. He wasn't effected by it because no time really hits him anymore. If it did, he would of gotten rewinded also. It doesn't matter that he was killed in a time-line that doesn't even exist anymore. Because of that, he is still dead. The infinite dragonflight is still alive in some time-line as if they ended with Murozond being killed, that means that they would never be there as Murozond was killed before Nozdormu fell into madness. The infinite dragonflight will always be around, never being extincted, as time will never stop flowing. They can come from any time-line, before Murozond was killed, so, they will always be around. But at some point, they might disappear, who knows, this is WoW we are talking about. Maybe in about 1000 years when the time-line that End Time takes place when it would of happened if Deathwing wasn't kill, the infinte dragonflight will be unable to go into that time-line.
Something else that has to be brought up in this discussion is (spoiler alert!) Nozdormu is no longer the keeper of time, nor is he, in fact, even a dragon aspect anymore.

Personally, I think she doesn't like her name for the whole sounds-male reason, and as such insists on being called by the feminine nickname "Chromi".
Personally I'll never understand the Gnome hate. It's a race of Dexter's Labratory Dexters!
(I did most of alliance quest (I think I missed about 100 max)

The age of mortals has begun and all that.
