Getting mentally prepared for MoP, but not looking forward to what I consider to be the hardest part of the game- trudging through that little window of time that exists right after you reach level cap but aren't geared enough for heroics. You can grind quest gear, run normal mode dungeons, but there will always be that one point when you first start heroics with gear that is lower ilevel than what the instance provides. In my opinion, that is where skill matters the most in PvE. Even more so than tackling heroic raids. Once you get full epic geared, everything is much smoother from there. When MoP hits you'll have hundreds of thousands of players entering that window, only this time there will be LFG....the place where people are held accountable for nothing. People will REALLY have to know their classes for this, and we'll all have to put up with the impatient "ZOMG WE WIPED ONCE YOU ALL SUCK BYE!1" leavers who will be flooding LFG at the start. Not fun days ahead.

Not looking forward to that portal either. RF and pugs are bad enough now, cannot imagine what the beginning of Mists is going to be like.

In other news, you are getting better and better. The last panel Kleeyo looks absolutely beautiful. Also, if this is 25 years in the past she should seriously outgear the entire army. ;-9

Dunno if years in the past matters the battle of Mount WC3 the trash only had a few hundred HP, in WoW they charged in with 70k+, heh.

Ahhh yes the the initial run to get geared. How I loath it so. I ended up leaving wow for around 2 months after the start of cata because it was to much for me to deal with.

Granted the problems with it didn't fix themselves, people just managed to have enough gear by then for it to not matter as much.

Have fun in MoP! I'll be having fun in The Storm Legion!

Well, that orc was owned for sure. Kleeyo didn't even have to use shaman magic in that little combat!

Kleeyo is so pretty in that last panel. :o
Daisybelle 4th Aug 2012, 10:45 PM edit delete reply
That's a great fight scene Clef. I like the blurring effect in the 2nd panel. Cyilla is right; Kleeyo looks adorable in the last panel and she also looks both cute and motherly in the 9th panel, which makes the episode something of a mixture of opposites. You do such a great job drawing her eyes.

I don't know the word for those weapons Kleeyo is fighting with... wrist blades? Are they easy for Kleeyo to take off and put back on? Where does she put them when not wearing them?

I wonder if the heart of time is something we saw Sara clutching earlier...?

Equipment Manager FTW.

Supposed to be the same weapons the actual Kleeyo uses
Daisybelle 7th Aug 2012, 8:48 AM edit delete reply
Equipment manager FTW indeed! :). Without it there would be too much bother donning my [blue overalls] every time I want to do some engineering or blacksmithing (hey it's not a requirement but I like the way my toons to look the part when working).

Wow! Your toon certainly does justice to her likeness in the comic. You really do make a good job of drawing her.

You know, the gem in Kleeyo's helm looks EXACTLY like the time gem.. Just saying.

You know, i thought the exact same thing too a couple of comics ago. But after closer inspection, Kleeyo's headgem is a different Purple color than the time gem (The time gem is a bright purple, while Kleeyo's is a dull purple).

To show what i'm talking about, you can see both gems from this comic:
Lycanthrope 6th Aug 2012, 8:15 PM edit delete reply
The reason why the gem is bright in that comic and:

This one:

Would be explainable in terms of whether the gem in the above two comics, both set in the "past", were active then...and not NOW.

Put another way: could you think of a better hiding place for a dangerous artifact than as a simple headgem? And if your response is "But, wouldn't Kleeyo know?"; this is Chromie we are dealing with, so no Kleeyo wouldn't necessarily know.

Hopefully they'll have learned their lesson and made that bit of gearing for heroics smoother and less painful then in Cataclysm.

Great job as usual.
However Tauren have 2 fingers and a thumb. Not three and a thumb. ^^;

am i the only thinking the heart of time is the gem in kleeyos headgear, or something similar:P
Doug 7th Aug 2012, 6:16 AM edit delete reply
Or even if it wasnt she could still swap the time gem for the one in her helm, to maybe get away with it.

I know what you mean... on the plus side, I think there was a window within the "people are still gearing" period in Cata where the worst puggers actually disappeared from LFG. At least, it seems to me like the pugs are getting worse as the average ilevel of player gear gets better. But on the other hand, everyone has to re-master their class anyway so maybe the average skill level is going to go up? Naaah... this is WoW, what am I saying? Hopefully I can get into Heroics during the window of "guild members are excited about new content and playing extra to see it".
