I got the idea of this comic during an ICC 10 raid where the MT healer for that run was a shaman. A single target healing shaman pretty much requires a liberal use of Rip Tide and LHW spam, which I saw splash down on my character every time the cooldown was up. I could only imagine how it would have felt...

Thanks! I tired to send an email to the SMF column author to announce the site only to find she doesn't reveal her email address. Had to roll the dice on sending it in as a "contact us" comment at wow insider. Hope it makes it there, heh...

I found myself healing with my shammy after I read this, couldn't help but /e throws a bucket of freezing water on the tank yelling, "RIPTIDE"

ALL of your comics would do so much better if you had less words in them. Honestly, the BEST way to present is short and simple ones that people will take the time to quickly read, laugh, and move on to the next one, not trying to understand what the background information is etc etc. remove the very last panel, and this comic is PERFECT. it's just uneeded to be honest, i really hope this helps you in the future, just trying to help out :).

I agree. Too many of my comics have hit the "wall of text". I try to keep it minimal as I can. The alternative to long text is more panels to spread out the text among, but that means more drawing, and a lot more time consumed making the comic. I just have to learn to write them better so they don't need as much information in them.
